The aim of physics department is to educate and train theoretical and experimental physicists who are capable of tackling and solving real problems by incorporating engineering and applied sciences based on their knowledge. Students first take basic subjects such as mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics to establish good foundation for graduate researches. Major research areas of the department are solid state physics and optics.
